The proposed rule for lists to be kept and shared concerning those who wish to not be contacted would be very onerous. It would essentially end the internet as a medium open to small business for commerce. The largest producers of spam have relocated offshore. Thw legitimate business has been caught up in the backlash against these abusers of the email system. I oppose this attempt to move against spam in this fashion, which again hurts the small business. I also get spam and dislike it, but this is throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
