Re: CAN-SPAM Act Rulemaking, Project No. R411008 While I think getting rid of spam is a good idea, people do not opt out of ever receiving info on a product when they remove themselves from one list. That is a riduculous idea, and not enforceable. These days many people can sell a product, not just the original company that makes the products, just like in person with an indepedent sales force. The idea of a "suppression list" is silly. People opt out of a particular email, and even if I'm wrong, how do you know that just because people don't like one product in an email that it is that product that is rejected. Maybe they don't like the other information. Maybe they don't like the news. Maybe there is more than one product, and they are rejecting a totally different product. Expanding the idea to include never receiving info about a product just because someone opts out of an email message is a crazy leap, and an overgeneralization. Stop spam, but don't make this a witch hunt. Thanks for considering my remarks. Sincerely, Kris Bickell
