Re: CAN-SPAM Act Rulemaking, Project No. R411008 To the Commissioners, While I am completely in favor of efforts to control spam, I am concerned about the proposed requirement for merchants to maintain suppression lists. This requirement will seriously harm, and likely put out of business, many legitimate publications who are not the target of CAN-SPAM. Consumers will suffer as well from the unintended consequences of suppressing legitimate businesses. I urge you to reconsider implimentation of this requirement.
