Re: CAN-SPAM Act Rulemaking, Project No. R411008 To the Commissioners, I am 100% behind your efforts to reduce / eradicate the use of bulk mailing SPAM from the industry. We as small business operators work very hard to validate and verify that our customers/subscribers are delivered information that a) they subscribed to and b) we have obtained appropriate permission from them initially with date stamp and IP address. The suppression lists proposed will dramatically impact my/our ability to operate our legitimate small businesses while the SPAMers will find ways to continue ignoring both etiquette and rules. I do not see that it would be worth my time and effort to continue operating under these conditions. I feel sure you are not trying to drive away legitimate information distribution systems and business operators, albeit marketing driven. Many purchases both small business and large corporate are completed with the aid of information about the products and services that the clients are searching for. We also offer services the clients are unaware will assist them in their quest. Please consider these comments in how this is implemented. thank you. Eric White. Brisbane Australia
