Dear Sirs: There are enough rules and regulations affecting the business community, the newer regulations do no good to anyone. The main purpose of the WWW, is the communication of ideas and the relay of services, the complain of a group of individuals claiming their rights are been violated disrgard the fact that the WWW has grown up because the business community use it to make transactions and pays for the use of it, and it is thanks to the business community at large that the WWW has the state of the art equipment available to all business and private parties. To put another burden on the shoulders of the business community, is at best poor judgement. The commercial e-mail should be left alone, the individual have the right and the opportunity to trash the mail, as s/he does with physical mail. Individuals have the chioce of blocking companies or senders using the filters of their browsers, why making more regulations? Are you trying to kill the business environment in the USA? None of this regulations apply to foreign spammers or advertisers. Do your job in a manner that do not kill business. One thing though, commercial email should identify the sender properly and the addresses must be valid.
