While someday I may venture on to the internet as a business person, my comments here reflect my thinking as a consumer. I see so-called "junk mail" (subsidized by the government through postal service) and "spam" as legitimate stimuli to business. If I tire of looking at it, the trash can is in the corner and there's a "don't send future ads" link in the message. I much prefer the mild inconvenience of tossing or clicking to yet another government interference with the entrepreneurs who keep business dynamic and competitive. The potential damage to a future source of commercial prosperity far outweighs the inconvenience of trashing a block of spam, so long as the provision to "opt out" of future postings remains. Plese don't legislate us to death.
