Re: CAN-SPAM Act Rulemaking, Project No. R411008 Dear Commissioners, Thanks for the job you are doing to eliminate unsolicited bulk email. Thing is, I am worried about the proposed requirement for merchants to maintain suppression lists. There are just too many potential problems this will cause, and their is going to be a lot of harm done to both consumer and businesses that I think you need to know this is not the way to fix this. If you make it a requirement to use suppression lists you will really harm a lot of truly legit email publications available on the intenet right now. I am very concerned. This could end up hurting the very people you're not intending to affect. I strongly urge you to rethink this issue. Sincerely, Matt Furey Tampa, FL
