Comments:
Although it is necessary to curb the activities of Spammers the rights of individuals who are not spamming should also be protected. I for one am a new publisher of an electronic magazine. I am careful to follow the policy of having a double opt-in registration to ensure that only individuals who have requested information be sent my ezine. In addition, should anyone wish to unsubscribe he/she may do so and all unsubscribe requests are immediately acted upon. May I request that you consider my rights as well as the rights of all the other legitimate internet marketers please. The proposed legislation (unless modified so as not to affect legitimate internet marketers) will seriously hamper email marketing and e-commerce on the Internet as we know it today. Respectfully, Bayani Luis T. Gervacio *REDACTED PERSONAL INFORMATION* Dumaguete City, Philippines
