Enforcement of the basic rules seems to be the task that should be improved on. First and foremost Their should be a clearly identifiable sender with a IP registered real name or business along with a physical address. Although the above questions dig deeper into the problem of detecting unwanted email they seem in some ways to step to far and may seriously impair the entire email system. Many marketers want to comply with the laws but have been met with an increase in unsolicited mail reaching their mail client applications. The proposals above may increase the control of unsolicited mail but they may also turn email marketing and even personal email off completely.
