There should be an "opt-in" list for people who want to receive unsolicited advertisements with provisions for which type of ads they would like to receive. This would eliminate the need for millions of internet users to register, would reduce the size of the database to hold the data, and would best protect email accounts from unwanted spam. Parents who are not computer literate but have children with email accounts would not have to worry about an "opt-out" list for their kids.
