Any business that is legitimate should NOT be affected by the Act. I have found that on a personal basis that legitimate marketing companies honor no email requests, however some companies chose to hire spammers that use email redirection from China, Korea, and various other countries. I feel very strongly that the all parties that would benefit from the email transaction should be held accountable and this would include the ISP providing the service that enables the email transmission.
