CAN-SPAM enforcement is only now beginning. We must issue regulations and give it time to work. The Do Not Email Registry will make it too dificult to see if CAN-SPAM is working and may hinder it's effectiveness. The national Do Not Email Registry will hinder all ligitamate email practices -- practices which have helped our economy recover and continue to grow. If the DNER is implemented it will adversly affect our economy. Email is small business' way to get inexpensive but effective marketing to grow their business. And as we all know, small business plays a large role in our economy's growth.
