The "CAN SPAM" act does just that, those @#$%^& "can SPAM" me legally. OPT OUT DOES NOT WORK!!!! The ONLY effective anti SPAM law is a strict "opt in" measure with penalties that will put the spammer out of business and behind bars. The "user" must be able to sue for relief and receive compensation from the spammer. Further more, there should be no exceptions to the "opt in" law for politicians, charities or anyone else.
