I believe that a blanket "Do Not E-mail registry" may cause significant hardship to individuals conducting legitimate business. _______________ However, I strongly support: - requiring commercial email to be identifiable from its subject line -- including NOT allowing use of special characters to bypass anti-SPAM rules that consumers put in place to filter out SPAM. (For example saying "V|@gr@" instead of "Viagra.") _______________ - requiring our compliance with "opt out" requests from consumers. (Too many SPAMers use the Opt Out request as a confirmation that the 'sent to' email address is valid.) _______________ THANK YOU!
