A National Do Not Email registry is only fair to the consumer. It is over due. If faxing was subject to the same amount of Spam, no one would be using faxes today. The essential problem is the reciepient pays for the receipt of an unsolicted advertisement which invades the recipient's property. This is unlike broad cast media where wh can change the channel, print media where we can opt not to purchase the offensive ads, or web surfing where we opt-in sites. We should get the same level of protection we get on faxes and phones. And the sooer the better.
