I firmly believe that a "do not email" list should be developed, akin to the "do not call" list that has been recently implemented. While I do not particularly welcome government involvement in the internet, the spam situation has grown to almost ridiculous proportions. A "do not email" list, along with sharp penalties for failure to comply, would help eliminate a misuse of the internet.
