I worry about a National Do Not Email Registry because it would be a fantastic mailing list for spammers. The Do Not Call Registry is different because it is harder to call that many people on a list. Comment on the following: (4) relay or retransmission through unauthorized access to a protected computer or network. -- Spammers also send email through authorized access as there are ISP's that condone spam and do nothing about it. -- Reward anyone that has concrete info about spammers. CAN SPAM ALLOWS! spam. It does NOT stop it! I get more spam than I ever did. Spammers "can spam" with this law. It is useless. And I have a few other choice words that I would like to use other than useless. I have a web site where I get as many as 100 spam emails a day and I am getting tired of it. That doesn't take into the account of the other web sites I have and my regular email address. Add all those and I get probably 500 spam emails a day! As far as I am concerned spammers should get the death penalty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And no I am NOT kidding. This is no joke. Email as a worthwhile tool is becoming useless. I want an OPT-IN!!! law. Subject line labeling is only for emails I want! And I don't want ANY spam so reading a subject line is useless in that case because I don't even want it to hit my server much less get to my inbox. I wish everyone would send all their spam to members of the Senate and Congress and let them put up with all this crap! THe DMA has all them in their pockets! The CAN SPAM Act needs to be CANNED! and an OPT-IN law put in its place. What we have now is TOTALLY WORTHLESS!
