C. 10-business-day time period for processing opt-out requests: Time frame should be 7 days or less. E.1-2 Issuing Regulations to Implement Various Aspects of CAN-SPAM -- If a consumer has “opted out” from receiving commercial email from a particular company, and then receives a subsequent commercial email containing an ad for this company as well as ads for three other companies, does this violate the Act? If so, who has committed the violation?: The sendor has not violated the Act, but the company "opt-ed" out should be liable since they have already been made aware of the removal. F. Reports: Implementation of a National Do Not Email Registry - without a doubt one should be developed. Implementation for reporting - some ISP carriers have developed a system of not just reporting SPAM as they are received, but also blocking the address as well. This should be done by all ISP carriers.
