these people do not know who they target, they just get a name and send their spam to it. exsample) my brother in law (age 13) uses my computer so i have access to his e-mails,i regularly scan his "spam" folder and deleate anything that is not "really" intended for him such as, ads for breast enlargments, pienis enlargments, porn sites that are diguissed as a legitimate web site then when you click them the automaticly redirect you to a porn site or some type of pay site(in wich case the bill comes to me and the phone company does not care or belive me and i still HAVE TO pay.) also alot of re directed (fowared) mail contains spam virus hes just a kid and if the ad is enticing to him he might click it opening a virus wich can destroy a computer,i have various programs that protect me from such things, but what about those familys that dont? because they are new to the internet or have stuggled to by a comuter and the first time they get one of these spam virus theyre screwed cause they dont have the means to get the problem fixed (notcheep)or get a new one,or plainly are just not web/computer savy in either case something should be done to stop this. not only is spam annoying but can be mind corupting and even dangeruos! p.s. many of these spam companys are off shore based in other countys, and they hire ordinary people to work from hometo re direct thier spam,so when they do it seems like just an ordinary person sending you an email with headlines like: hi! havent seen you in a while or get it free! or CHECK THIS OUT, ITS COOL!!! verry enticing for kids right?! another thing, some ads have a "do not send me more info" buttonwich is fake, all it does is let the spamer know that he has hit an active account! same thing happens if you in any way reply to one of those e-mails well theres my two cents, thanks for listening, and sorry for the punctuation
