The greatest new danger is the collusion between spammers and trojan or virus writers. This disguises the sender even more effectively than the use of open relays. Ultimately, the defendant must be the person or organization which will receive monetary benefit from the sending of the mail. This will help to prevent problems from the sending of spam by third parties interested in causing trouble for a company they compete with.
