Someone must hold these companies responsible for sending mass quantities of unwanted and unsolicited SPAM. I have NEVER requested or even logged onto any of the sites that continue to bombard my email in box. It is by far one of the most annoying things I must go through each day. In addition, these companies CLAIM that I can opt-out with a single click, yet 90% of the time, their opt-out links do not work. If I then try to opt-out by visiting their website, there is no way to locate an opt-out option, nor a way to contact them to complain. I am also convinced that my email address is then "shared" once again by me trying to opt-out due to the fact that my email then gets bombarded even more. A physical address will help, however, why should I have to spend time and money to opt-out of something I didn't request in the first place? These companies should supply opt-out options that WORK, both by links and an easy-to-use option on thier home sites. And, companies should NOT be allowed to solicite based on a visit to their site. In many cases, an end-user may be trying to opt-out or simply visited an unwanted site by mistake. THIS MUST ALL STOP! And violaters must be held responsible, especially monetarily.
