Comments:
The Association for Play Therapy is a nonprofit national professional society that swaps email communications daily with many of its nearly 5,000 member mental health professionals. Some of our emails are informational and some are promotional. Members join to receive some benefits included in their dues and some benefits for which they are assessed discounted fees. They expect to receive promotional emails that, for example, solicit their registrations for our annual conference or orders for instructional books and videos at discounted prices. The Commission rightfully wishes to control the mushrooming volume of offensive spam emails that fill our email boxes daily. However, it should not trample upon our abilities to transact the legitimate business relations between associations and their voluntary members and vendors. Your appreciation of this principle is critical and appreciated. Thank you very much!
