I realize that there are some people out there that are not using the Internet properly. However please note that most all of the serious and real shop owners are not like these people. Over the years that I have been using the internet as a consumer, there has been a change in the way that Internet providers have been self policing themselves. I have not had an e-mail that I did not allow into my website in a long, long time. People who do not read the terms and conditions or the privacy conditions when they sign up for something on the Internet will get ads that they asked for but don?t know why they are getting them. Also there are so advertisers out there, that you find out after you have signed up, you have to mail them a posted letter (via the United States Postal Service) to get off their list. I just put them and their ads in the Spam Blocker and after a while I don?t get any mail from them at all.If you have signed up for anything on the Web and you have read the policies, and you do not post your e-mail address in a chat room (or facsimile). Then there is a good chance that you not will have a problem. I have not received a letter or an ad that does not have an unsubscribe link at the button and sometimes at the top and bottom of the page. All the information I have acquired over time about how to guard my e-mail address has come from the very people you will hurt if you allow this process to continue. There are a lot of people out in the U. S. that the government is against small business. And this is just another way to keep the, I want to work for myself and follow the American Dream people from getting ahead. If you must attack businesses, please get informed about the people that are causing the problem and not hurt us all for their sins. If my brother kills people, you would imprison the whole family, and would that just be the next of kin or everyone in the world (we are all related). Please consider everyone that uses the Internet, and those that have lost their jobs and this is a chance to make some money (to at least cover their bills) until they can find work that they really want. The real people are policing their own ads and how they are handled because they know that they will loose business if they push their goods. The Internet is a pull market, which means if you bother the customer they will shop somewhere else. People who own and operate the hosting companies are also contributing by canceling Web sites that have Spam abuse reported against their Web site. Please don?t kill the growing goose that is still learning to lay golden eggs. Thank you for your time, Fred Pitts Jr.
