Re: CAN-SPAM Act Rulemaking, Project No. R411008To the Commissioners,Why a suppression list? Why not make it easy for everyone by having all email advertisements have ADV. in front of their headline in the subject box. Then everyone can filter all of them out if they do not want them. Very Simple and very cost efficient. Please consider it.Please don't take this the wrong way.I thank you for your efforts to curb the problem ofunsolicited bulk email. However, I am concerned aboutthe proposed requirement for merchants to maintainsuppression lists. With so many problems and costs associated withthis idea, and so much damage done to consumers andbusinesses alike, that I feel I must urge you toconsider this matter most carefully. We are not who CAN-SPAM was designed to put out ofbusiness, but this requirement will very likely havethat effect.I was quite surprised at the potential problems thisruling could involve, and urge you in the strongestpossible terms to reconsider its implementation in lightof these problems. Please consider my alternative as an efficient and cost saving alternative to solving the spam problems.Having all email advertisements have ADV. in front of their headline in the subject box makes it easy for everyone to filter all of them out if they do not want them. Very Simple and very cost efficient. Please consider it.Respectfully,Ken MooreOhio, USA
