To the Commissioners,I truly and honestly, applaud the efforts to dismantle the problem of *un solicited* bulk email.However, I am only one of thousands of legitimate professionals, concerned about the proposedrequirement for merchants to Maintain suppression lists.There are so many problems and costs, and risks associated with this idea, and so muchpossible damage done to consumers and businesses alike, that I feel I must urge you toreconsider this matter most carefully. For the sake of the economy! Requirement of the use of suppression lists, will seriously damage many of the, legitimatePublications available on the Internet. My specific concern is for harm to publishers like my self,who require permission, including double opt-in from the consumer prior to adding them to *any* list.They're not who CAN-SPAM was designed to put out of business, but this requirement will mostcertainly have that effect.There's also the potential for significant harm to consumers, because of the problem of properlyknowing their intent when they unsubscribe from a list. On top of that, these suppression lists, withthe available software, could easily fall into the hands of spa
