Re: CAN-SPAM Act Rulemaking, Project No. R411008To the Commissioners,Thank you for the work you are doing towardseliminating SPAM/UCE. Recently, I have becomeaware of the potential need to maintain a'suppression list' for my online business andI have become alarmed. From what I understand of this move - it alonecould place our online business in jeopardy. There are many of us on the net who are legitimateand law-abiding business-people and it seems to methat this 'suppression list' proposal is aimeddirectly at us and not at those persons who generatethe SPAM in the first place.I thought CAN-SPAM was developed to prevent unscrup-ulous persons and companies from aggravating and impeding the good business practices of law-abidingnetrepreneurs.I urge you in the strongest possible terms to reconsider the implementation of the recommendations as theycurrently stand. This is a new field of expertisefor us all - please let us not be forced to 'throw out the baby with the bath water'.With respect,Meredith Yates & Nicholas DavillDavill Yates AssociatesSouth Australia AUSTRALIA
