The "Can-Spam" act is useless. The amount of solicitation emails I receive has trebled since the act's inception with little to no recourse. It overrode a more restrictive California measure and has no teeth. There is no ability for individual victims to resolve their issues, as in the TCPA.I pay for my phone line and that gives me rights. I also pay for my email and internet time. Why should they be allowed to waste MY time and MY mailbox space without me being allowed to do something about it.Most of these emails contain NO "unsubscribe" information. Especially considering that the overwhleming majority of these emails contain graphic sexual imagery (much of it illegal acts such as bestiality, pedophilia and incest) how am I to get the information in the email to remove myself without opening the email and therefore downloading these disturbing images into my computer?Get out of the back pocket of the advertisers and give the people back the ability to protect themselves from the invasion of our personal space!
