Along with settng up a do not e-mail list, it is imporant that spammers face compulsary jail time and fines. I know jails are overcrowded but lets let them pay for their own keep. It is an insult that I have to be subjected to pornography, financing and prescription offers and "get rich quick" schemes which are of no value except to clog up the whole web. Perhaps setting a reasonable limit for free e-mailings would do the trick, i.e. if I send something to 10 friends it's free but when the number reaches 15 or 20 I would have to have an account set up to be charged a fee for each additional address. This would certainly cut down on the smut and unwanted solicitations. If spammers wanted to continue it would cost them dearly, no more mass mailings.
