I think more effort should be put into stopping virus spreaders and other more serious things going on in the world. Spam is so simple to get rid of with the click of a delete button, Simpler yet to block it if you dont want it. Advertising is an every day part of life, TV being the worst, Cant delete it and are forced to view it in the middle of a movie. Snail Mail is far worse too, Gota get rid of it physically whether u have to pay to have the garbage man haul it away or to burn it its not as simple as hitting a delete button and its also unsolicitied, Who asks for all the store adds and all that junk. And what about phone solicitors, In the middle of dinner your phone rings, You jump up to answer thinking it may be a loved one in need or with an emergency to answer and find a recording telling u to stay on the line for the next available operator and if you do wait your offered a mortgage or some other crap u never asked for. Out of all these mentioned, Spam is the only one thats simple to get rid of and didnt just jump out at you all of a sudden and u had the choice of clicking delete or opening it or even blocking it. I feel that far too much time and energy is being wasted on this so called problem. If people are making a living do this and they are actually making money then why do away with it. Apparently theres many people who enjoy getting these emails or why would spammers continue sending it. Its keeping the economy on the internet moving isnt it. What harm is it really doing? Yeah ill give you that there are some people doing it and abusing alot in the process, Stop those guys and leave the others that abide by the rules alone. The people against spam mainly are the ones called the anti spammists...These people are insane, The go as far as to make death threats to people who spam, This proves their insanity. Nobody deserves to die for sending email. I have read that "most of the internets worst problem is spam" When was the entire internet asked this? Most people pay to access the internet. These people should have some rights about this. Legitimate emails are being lost and returned undeliverable as spam because of the rediculous filters that so many isp's have in place now. We are paying for something and not having any rights about our own email settings. Why cant everyone be responsible for setting their own filters. There has got to be a simple way to make that possible. Keep in mind that alot of people look forward to these advertisements every day in their email boxes and without that maybe they wouldnt need the interenet anymore. Weed out the bad guys and leave the rest alone. Come up with a way to shut out the bad guys from sending and allow the legitimate to continue.
