Can Spam has no teeth and no effectiveness whatsoever that I can tell. Spammers have even come out even worse in mockery of this legislation. My email box is now almost 75% spam daily out of what is now a total of about 150 emails. Only about 25% of those are legitimate, and it is hard to separate. Worse yet, most of this crap would be illegal in a very prosecutable way if it were sent via the US Postal Service. I did not sign up for ANY of the spam hitting my inbox. My email address was lifted from legitimate news groups I had participated in quite some time ago concerning software development. Needless to say, I DON'T leave my email address anywhere on the internet anymore.
