I have been an independent business owner affiliated with Quixtar for the past five years.Ihave been searching, as are most Americans are, for an opportunity that would make the American dream more than just a dream-make it something tangible and real. I am a father and a husband and I have worked hard all my life to provide for my family, once I was introduced to the possibilities of owning my own busines on the internet, the American dream became tangible to us for the first time. The quality of life my business has afforded my family and I,is unparalleled. To me this business means more than earning dollars and cents,it is a way of spending more time with my family.Introducing the business to others is an occasion to share this improved quality of life with others who ,like me, have similar dreams foe their families.Working for yourself provides opportunities to fulfill the American dream in a way that working for someone else cannot. The proposed FTC rule would greatly affect my business in the same way that a traditional businessman would be affected if every time he made a transaction he had to show his business transaction history or his account statement to a client.It is an immense inconvenience as well as an invasion of privacy. My business prospects understand that what they are embarking on is not a '' get rich quick deal'' it is a legitimate business that may take many months possibly years to build. The busines they are building, like any other business requires hard work and discipline. Possible business prospects have a detailed contract that they are encouraged to examine and are give ample opportunity to change their mind and get a full refund. The FTC rule would impact my ability to acquire new contacts as well as delay transactions I make to acquire new business. The new ruling would not only impact individuals, it will affect a pillar that upholds the great country of America- this ruling attacks the American dream. Let us uphold the ideals that make our country great and provide each man the opportunity to see his Americaan dream become a reality.
