|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 437|
Comments:We would like to address some of the concerns of the proposed rule. We have owned our own independent business since 1988. Thru this business, we developed enough volume to bring LaDonna home to raise our kids, instead of the day care center. Also, Roger has been able to cut his hours down from 80-100 hours per week down to 20-30 hours per week. In response to your proposal of having to wait seven days before people can register that would have dramatically slowed down our enthusiasm and the ability to achieve our goals that we have. We felt no hesitation starting our company because we were becoming involved with people we knew and also knew we could get our money back if we became dissatisfied. As far as the requirement to give prospects ref. before starting their business, I wouldn't be excitied about giving out my name and personal info, infringing on my privacy. Why would I want to give my prospect's name to someone else so they could register them? In my remodeling business, we wouldn't think of doing something that ludicrous! They would steal all of my business. Successful businesses just don't work that way! Concerning your proposal that every prospect be given lawsuits over the last 10 years, none of these was I involved with. According to my sister, the attorney, this type of information is heresay and wouldn't even be admissible in court. And besides, dishonest companies would simply ignore the rule.
