To: FTC I would like to comment on the subject proposal from my personal experiences. My wife and I have been involved with the Amway and Quixtar Corporations for over 20 years, and our business has been supported by them with honesty and integrity during this time . We have run our business the same way and have assisted countless others to do the same. I believe that a 7 day wait period is not necessary because the business support and structure can be checked out within a day. Also, all "real" companies provide a 100% guarantee, like Quixtar's, so there is no risk. The Quixtar Corporation has provided us actual income figures that are shared with all prospective Independent Business Owners, so I see no purpose in calculating these in each presentation. I believe that your guidelines should focus on the illegal companies that are in existence rather than the legal successful ones. I am "shocked" about the ads on TV that advertise earning large sums of money and by the local Indian casinos that do the same. They draw in thousands of peopel who cannot afford to be there with the promises of large winnings. I urge you to not include the waiting periods, the income calculations, or the list of "lawsuits". Thanks, Wayne Edwards
