Gentlemen: I have been a distributor of a natural supplement called Xango Juice for more than 2 years and have been helped a lot of people in the process. First, there are those who have been physically aided by this remarkable juice to be restored to normal health and second, those who have been financially helped by becoming a distributor. As a retiree, the monetary rewards of being in this business has tremendously helped me to be self-reliant, to stand on my own and not rely on the government for any form of assistance. I am therefore very concerned on how your propsed rule will affect me as well as those who have now depended on this product physically and financially. As a consumer, I truly appreciate your role in protecting the public from unscrupulous influences and appreciate your stand on issues that promote and safeguard public safety. It must be an overwhelming responsibility that requires a "blancing act" as far as consumer and provider rights are concerned. Being both a consumer and provider, I have a vested interest on your proposed ruling. I would like to cite specific areas that aroused my concern: 1). The seven-day waiting period in this proposal casts a negative light on the direct-selling plan. It will create unnecessary delays on the part of the purchaser who wants to avail of the opportunity to purchase the product or get involved in the business. 2) List of nearest references - This definitely touches the privacy issue and will be very hard to comply with. Many distributors will be exposed to a wide variety of fraudulent schemes by making our personal information available to any potential purchaser who may use such information to their own advantage. This requirement alone will deter a prospect from getting involved in the business and will create a tremendous negative impact for those of us who have chosen the direct selling industry as a way to earn a living. I hope you will consider these things as you make your decision regarding this proposed ruling.
