To Whom It May Concern: I have been an Independent Business Owner for over 20 years. I have raised 3 children as a single mom, worked full time and have also built a business alongside all of my other responsibilities in order to make ends meet. In the last 20 months I have finally let go of my full time job and have been devoting my time to my family and to my business. This has been a long term goal of mine that has finally come to fruition. My Quixtar business has been meeting financial goals for my family and I am excited to share the benefits of what this business opportunity can do for other families. When I registered as a business owner I was so excited to finally have the chance to own a business, build it at my pace and fit it into my family priorities. I knew back then it was not a rich quick scheme -- if it was I would have never gotten involved. I am very excited to help other people develop this business whether it is to supplement their income in case of job loss, disability or other situations that are all too common in life. I oppose the requirement of a 7 day waiting period. It would delay not only my business expansion...but it would delay that of the new person that is wanting to finally get a jump on an opportunity to add benefit to their family. I oppose a requirement to provide references. As a business team affiliated with Quixtar we work hard to provide great references. I oppose the requirement that would be imposed to furnish a prospect with a list of local IBO's when it was work that I did to contact, do presentations and teach a person how this compensation plan works for them. I oppose the other requirements as well. I understand the FTC wants to protect the people from bad business practices and I am in favor of that. I do oppose the strict requirements that are listed in this proposal. I feel that they would not only be a detriment to my business but to the economy as a whole. Sincerely, Valerie Parker
