To Whom it may Concern I would like to comment on the proposed rule making change you are considering regarding business franchise opportunities, particularly MLMs. My experience is that Mary Kay Cosmetics ultimately led to the dissolution of my marriage and a large financial loss. There are several reasons why this occurred. I am pleased that you are looking into changing the legislation and my hope is that any changes made will ultimately benefit the consumer and potential distributor rather than the company distributing the product. I believe that I was misled on the potential opportunity in many areas. Some, but not all of the misrepresentations include potential earnings, potential cutsomer base, actual business expenses, actual rate of return for investment or profit margin, net yearly income, failure rate of distributors over time, actual product marketshare, actual sales of people currently in the organization vs. unsold inventory, sales requirements to maintain a certain level of distributorship, requirements to discloe the true nature as an MLM vs. a dual marketing concept and many more. Any changes you may consider which would ultimately benefit the consumer and potential distributor would be greatly appreciated by myself and many others I am certain. I thank you for the opportunity to make this public comment.
