Dear Sirs and Madams: I am responding to the suggested changes to businesses such as ours that you have recommended. I acknowledge that your intentions are in our best interests, but I would like to point out several issues to that point of view. My husband and I have been Quixtar IBOs for approximately 2-1/2 years. During that time, we have never been required to divulge personal information about our financial situation or that of our upline or downline. If a potential client or IBO asks, we are willing to share information based on the particular situation and person. I do not feel it would be appropriate for that to be a requirement, since our brochures already give average incomes from this business, and the corporation is held to account for the accuracy of those figures. In fact, if a person would be dissuaded from the business based on income figures, those figures would be the factor because they include all IBOs who never end up actually participating in the business and therefore bring the figures down. It is my opinion that the principle behind your efforts has already been addressed. I further disagree with the idea that we need to provide the names and addresses of 10 of our business partners. That, too, is very personal information. In our business, we hold regularly scheduled meetings where prospective partners are welcome to attend and meet current and potential business partners. Any personal information can be provided at that time from the persons themselves. In addition to my previous comments, let me state for the record that I would see the 7 day waiting period for signing up a new business partner as a serious detriment to my business. When I help a person or couple to start their new business, part of that has to do with momentum. The spark of enthusiasm they have is great incentive for anyone else they might consider as their new business partners. Further, my focus with new business partners is to get them to become aware of their products and part of that is getting the products in their hands to try. Any sales force will tell you that personal knowledge of products is a huge selling point. Finally, our educational system is critical to helping a new business partner begin their growth in the business and personally. Part of our initial meeting with a new business partner is to get them signed up with our educational system. If we were not able to proceed with their education, that would take away 7 days of their (and our) potential income. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Jacki S. Davis
