I am writing to state my opposition to the proposed business opportunity rule R511993 as it is written. While I want all to be protected from unfair practices, I don't believe the rule, as written, will actually do that and it will be unfair to many small businesses that are honest and fair. The 7 day waiting period and the disclosure of the 10 prior purchasers interfers with my customer's rights also. The disclosure of previous law suits for a period of 10 years would have merit If a company had judgements against them. Anyone can bring un-merited suits against anyone is seems in this day and age. It is judgements against a company that should be disclosed in my opinion. I have been a Shaklee Distributor for over 25 years. Orginally, I started my in-home business to make extra income. Now that both my husband and I are retired (a teacher and a nurse) we have come to really need that income to continue to have a decent lifestyle. We work hard, are fair to all our customers, and would find this bill, #R511993, to cause us un-needed burden. Please reconsider this bill and do not pass it. Thank you.
