To whom it may concern, I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993. I do understand that the Federal Trade Commission must protect the public, including myself, from "unfair & deceptive acts or practices," but the rule as proposed would make it very difficult for e to operate my business as a Shaklee Independent Distributor. I believe this rule infringes on my right and the right of my members/distributors for privacy. I worry about identity theft and personal information about someone's health being distributed to others. The seven day waiting period makes it difficult for people to receive the products they need for good health to reach them in a timely manner. I have been a Shaklee Distributor for more than 8 years. I became a Shaklee Distributor because the products helped my mother-in-law to regain her physical/mental abilities after a severe stroke. The products also helped me immensely to improve my health and that of my family, plus many others! I love Shaklee's philosophy, their scientifically researched products, and the opportunity to earn income working from home. I also love helping others learn to earn an income through Shaklee, so many people are loosing their regular jobs and this is an easy and inexpensive way to earn a supplemental income for them. Why would you take those things away? Thank you for your time in considering my letter. Carole Hartley
