I appreciate the fact that the FTC is trying to weed out undesirable and dishonest companies by regulating their prospecting and registration activities, but i believe some of the proposed solutions would serve to hinder those companies that have viable and legitimate opportunities. (much like locks only keep honest people honest). I am grateful for the business that I am involved in. Not only am I growing income-wise but i am also building relationships that have helped me have a more positive outlook on a daily basis, I am able to help other people in the same manner. Some of these young people have told me that their family and friends have commented on the positive change they have noticed since an affiliation with this company and other IBO's. Addressing some of the proposals: 1{a 7 day waiting period} I believe that Quixtar's money back policy of a full refund within 30 days is far better for the new prospect, because it gives him a chance to get his feet wet ,so to speak,to see if the opportunity could actually work for him.Rather than looking at it for 7 days he can get involved in the entire process and view first hand the work and commitment required to grow a successful business. 2{a list of references} This would infringe on the right to privacy of the IBO whose name is given out. It would also give the referenced IBO the chance to sponsor someone elses prospect. I also feel it would be a way for someone to build a mailing list of his own by pretending to be interested in the business by getting 10 references from one IBO then moving on to another and getting 10 more and so on to promote his own agenda. (something that Quixtar does not allow)but nothing would stop the pretender from doing it because he would not be bound by the company's rules of conduct. 3{lawsuits and accusations} To me this would be similar to walmart not being allowed to sell more than $xxx of merchandise without giving the buyer all the lawsuits and allegations for the past 10 years, including lawsuits on the products being purchased even if the suit was dismissed and accusations were false. Please do not penalize legitimate opportunities or keep prospects from pursuing their dream of a better life by placing undue burdens on those of us who are striving to operate above board because of a few bad apples. ( I also wonder where the burden of responsibility falls to investigate the investment before blindly jumping in and then crying foul when it doesn't work out) Thank you for your consideration
