Dear Federal Trade Commission Member, Regarding your proposed regulations for those of us in the direct selling business. I am a PartyLite Leader, and have been working in this business for 7 years, but was a guest and hostess with this company for 10 years prior. During my 7 years with PartyLite I have been able to supliment my families income to help pay for the extras! I have also brought serveral people into this business, who have been able to use this opportunity to do the same or even use it as support for themselves and their family. The new regulations you are planning would make it incredibly difficult to introduce anyone to this opportunity. One of the best things about this business is that anyone can start this business and be earning money within a timeframe of two weeks. Most people join PartyLite wanting, and often needing to earn money right away, and your proposal would make them wait even longer. In this day and age people become overwhelmed with financial difficulties with higher fuel cost, job layoffs, etc. The income that PartyLite could provide to them in this short time frame could be the difference between helping themselves or needing help from other means. Usually some sort of State, or Federal Funds help. In addition, I cannot see myself sharing private information about other PartyLite Consultants and I certainly do not want my information shared without my consent. Please reconsider your proposals to regulate legitimate, professional direct sellers like me. You will only end up impacting my income, my future and that of my family. Respectfully Yours, Billie Jo Cutshaw
