RE: Business Opportunity Rule, R511993 I am a hard-working Medical Assistant who sees Social Security as being non-existant for me, by the time I reach 70 years of age. Having a home-based business, in a field that helps people, is an avenue for me to build my retirement fund while promoting health for others I find your proposal to be full of HIPPA violations!! Item 2) List of Nearest References- Blatantly HIPPA violations and breach of privacy. How can you be so strict in the Medical world and so careless in the Business Segment where individuals could be potentially physically harmed because of this ruling? As a single female, I could be "visited" by anyone who got my name from Any Direct Marketing person in my region??? Without my permission?? Item 3) Earnings Claim Statement- Again, HIPPA and Privacy violation with potential for physical harm if people in the community wanted a share of one's income! Item 5) Cancellations and Refunds- Privacy and HIPPA violation-people start and stop for a wide variety of reasons. Many people don't want it known that they were trying a certain product-whether it is for weight loss, sexual prowess, or Better Health! Item 4) Legal Actions- I can see that the Legal History of an Organization would be somewhat important. I also feel Very Strongly that the Results of the the Court Challenges both Positive and Negative should be reported. A scrupulous Business would be willing to show the results of their Legal efforts. The Direct Selling Association and United Natural Products Alliance have established Rules/Guidelines for Organizational Behavior. Working with what is already established, and working cooperatively with those Association Leaders to create a Reasonable Rule which keeps Privacy issues Private, and provides parameters for dishonest organizations, would be Ideal. Please reconsider what you are proposing. How can I be fired instantly for a HIPPA violation at work, yet you are requiring me to do these violations in the name of saving my home-based business?? Thank you for considering my Comments. I trust that Integrity and Justice will prevail. W. Rogers, CMA
