In reference to rule changes that will affect my home based business. My wife and I have been involved with the Quixtar business and it former company for more than 13 years. The business has allowed us to supplament our income in such a way that my wife has been able to stay home with our three children for the last 10 1/2 years. We have enjoyed the friendships we have developed over these years working with couples with similar values and beliefs. We now that if we put additional work into our business that I would be able to stay home as a full time father. I feel that some of the proposal would harm our ability to allow us to achieve our goals. Trying to correct some bad companies will hurt our Quixtar busniness. Prospects would have to wait seven days after receiving disclosures before they could register. In our history new people have a large amount growth when they first register, because of the believe and excitement of stepping out and starting their own business with the help of their sponsor. We have always worked with our new people, we don't just sponsor and run, alot of our growth happen with the help of our sponsor. Before we register someone they have already received disclosures about incomes and we explain how these incomes our earned not given. Waiting seven days would do an injustice to the new person, it typically cost less than $100 to registar which is refundable. When you spend $30,000-40,000 for a new car you don't have to wait 7 days. You would be required to give every prospect a list of "references" – the names, addresses, and phone numbers of 10 other IBOs in the area – seven days before the prospect registers. Most of our new people meet several people on our team as they our getting started. Having new people talk with people who are not affiliated with our team can cause problems. We have always worked as a team with team concepts and tried to keep other peoples quirky ideas from screwing up the success system we have put in place. Who is to say that some so not above board group tries to steal these new people away. Also giving out my personal info to others would be invasion of my privacy. If I choose to keep my business private from my employer and someone shows this oppurtunity to my boss and I am listed as a reference and my cause me some difficulties and work. You would have to give every prospect a list of all lawsuits, arbitrations, and other legal claims for the past 10 years involving Quixtar and its IBOs where the plaintiff alleged fraud, misrepresentation, or unfair trade practices – regardless of whether or not the accusation was true. Why should we have to give info to prospects that in most cases would be false. Do other business have to disclose to potential customers all of their dirty laundry. How many times have car dealers been sued, but they don't have to disclose it. Real estate agents and companies get sued but they don't have to disclose it. You would have to make a different disclosure for every income claim. We provide a disclosure to our prospects before they are registered and we sit down with them using that disclosure and explain how the incomes are earned. I believe all like business should have a simple disclosure that is required to be given to new prospects, so that we are all playing on a level field. There are other items that need to be addressed but I feel strongly about the above. We have always been fair and above board with any new prospects, it is what we have been taught by our team over the last 13 years and is what we teach to our new people, as we our getting them started.
