I am writing in response to the propsed FTC rule changes regarding business opportunities. Specifically those that would effect my Quixtar business. I have been an Independent Business Owner (IBO) for approximately 5 years and as such believe that these proposed rules would unduely adversely affect my business and those of fellow IBOs as well. While I fully understand and agree with the need to protect consumers from fraudulent business practices the proposals would hinder the efforts of free enterprise for legitimate businesses. It is my hope that a middle ground can be reached that will provide mutual protection for consumers and business owners alike.
