Sirs: I think that the proposed waiting period of seven days is not necessary. As an Independent Business Owner (IBO) affiliated with Quixtar, this is not necessary due to prospects current ability to receive a refund if they are not satisfied. The waiting period should be elimiated from this proposal. The proposed requirement of providing 10 references infringes on the privacy of those 10 references and may in turn entice the prospect away from my business. With the effort to recruit prospects, this is unfair to me and other persons building a legitimate business. In business today, potential clients already can check the competition to see who they would like to do business with. This proposal should be elimiated. Re: providing every prospect a list of lawsuits should be eliminated. As I have not had a lawsuit against me, I do not want to invite the legal system abusers to do so and it would place an undo burden on my business. Re: the income claim proposal. As an IBO affiliated with Quixtar, I am required to disclose already average incomes at different business levels in a document reviewd by the FTC. This additional requirement should be deleted from the proposal. The fifth proposal that I have problems with is the income disclosure one. I value my privacy as do most Americans and disclosing my income is personal and not open to public scrutiny. In the present day with the identity theft and unauthorized information already occuring, the FTC should be focusing more on these crimes rather than trying to hamper honest business people growing their businesses. If you need to go after the criminals, do so but do not include everyone in the process. All of the fellow IBOs affiliated with Quixtar that I know are building successful businesses by helping other do the same. I cannot speak to other businesses but if they break the law, go after them individually. Thanks
