My husband and myself have been IBO's for 14 years. The Quixtar business has given me the opportunity to work from home while raising our children. It has provided us with training in business and personal growth. I understand the FTC wants to make sure that consumers have all the information necessary to make a good decision about participation in the Quixtar business. Quixtar already openly provides this information from several sources. Traditional businesses are lacking in this department. The FTC wants to prevent deception by companies that are unethical which is good. Quixtar is very ethical. Please beware of penalizing honest, hardworking entreprenuers in the Quixtar business because of unethical copycats. Please eliminate the 7 day wait period. A Quixtar prospect can get his money back if unsatisfied. People today live fast paced lives. Sponsoring IBO's put a lot of work and love into folks they sponsor. If a prospect cannot register right when they want to you usually lose them. Please eliminate the 10 reference rule. If every business had to get 10 references to open the USA would have no private, small business sector. No one would ever do this. Eliminate requiring disclosure of all past litigation. Most IBO's are not attorneys. Most people in any business again would not bother to open with all of the other requirements should this be placed on them, too. If disclosure is needed, require a simple, standard, easily understood one like Quixtar already uses: "the average monthly gross income for 'active' IBO's...." IBO's should possess substantiation for any claim as should any business, but they should not be required to disclose that unless required by the FTC or similar state agencies in an agency investigation. That is an invasion of my personal privacy. I would never disclose my financial statements from traditional business to just anyone. Please consider all of these things very carefully. Those of us who have built legitimate, active Quixtar businesses have worked very hard to provide our people with the cadillac of business environments. Thank you for your kind attention to my comments.
