While I do appreciate the FTC wanting to protect the public from fraudulent MLM practices, I feel that this rule would wipe out legitimate MLM companies. 13.6 billion people have been able to start their own business where they would otherwise have not been able to do so to provide for themselves and their families where a regular job is not able to do that for people. The start up cost is minimal where the average person can afford to get started in a business. Most individuals do not have the luxury of having thousands or millions of dollars to even think of starting their own business. This then also helps the economy and can also help others to help others. In this business people are earnest about helping other people. Legitimate companies care about their distributors and the people they come in contact with and the companies that I have been involved with have always stressed the importance of integrity and honesty. ( a factor that seems to be a growing problem in larger industries). In a home based business you are able to better care and respond to people that do want to become business owners, thus getting back the integrity issue in this culture. I also believe that people who do become involved with home businesses need to do their part with investigation and research and not rely on someone else to do it for us.If a person has not done their research and then screams foul, it is not the FTC's fault. We need to get away from the blame game. Xango does not made claims as to what a person can make financially, that is up to the person and the person has to do the work. It is not set up for people to just lay back and reap rewards. The paperwork involved in the proposed ruling would definitely dissuade people from participating in a home based business, plus I believe that this ruling would be touching on the privacy issue and confidentiality of indivduals when names and address would need to be released. Also fraudulent companies can come up with fake names to better their cause. The fraudulent companies need to be dealt with, not the legitimate ones. I do enjoy the health benefits from this exceptional product and I enjoy telling others about it. If they do not believe that this is beneficial to them, that is their choice and I move on. I respectfully submit that this ruling not be considered. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to respond to this ruling. Kaye Burke
