I have a goal to become a manager in this business and it will never happen if I have to make my excited potential recruits wait a week before signing--the excitement will diminish the longer they have to wait and the more work involved in signing up. Telling my potential recruits that I will need to use them as references will scare them off--this seems to contradict all the privacy acts pushed for in the last several years. This process you're proposing will be a major burden to all consultants everywhere, takes away from the excitement and freedom of a home-based business, and will push away all potential recruits. Starting a home-based business takes courage and can be a scary step for many women and pushing all this extra stuff on them will just close the door on these opportunities--not many stay-at-home mothers and other women will take the time to go through all these steps to get their personal business started, ESPECIALLY considering MANY of them start off their business just wanting the discount or to do it for a hobby to get out of the house--these proposed steps to join a company will destroy the interest of these women who just want a hobby or a discount opportunity. PLEASE DON'T DO THIS! You will destroy my business and thousands of other womens' businesses. Recuriting will be nearly impossible with these burdensome requirements. Please, please, please be more reasonable. Put yourself in our shoes, or the shoes of a potential recruit... would you seriously want to comply with these requirements? For many people, with the way economy is going, direct selling is the only way to survive, especially for those of us who are trying to be stay-at-home moms. This proposal, if passed, will drastically change that. This is just not the American way. Please, let people be responsible for their own decisions, their own research. Don't burden the majority because of a minority who do wrong.
