To the FTC: I applaud you for attempting to insure the honesty and integrity of the MLM businesses in our country. I feel such a proposal is a positive step provided it doesn't burden those reputable business owners with unweildy requirements that would limit their ability to do business. I am an IBO in the Quixtar organization and have been for 4 months. I found each of their initial claims regarding the company organization and payment schedule to have been honest and forthright. In informing those I have personally sponsored I have printed out the information on the website stating the compensation plan and how it works. I was told to be very honest with each proposed IBO regarding the amount of possible income and the amount of effort needed to reach that level of income. I feel that is sufficient information, especially as the Quixtar company already offers a money back guarante to anyone who changes their mind. The requirement of a 7 day waiting period prior to registering would just slow down the energy of the new IBO and stiffle the growth rate of our organization. I also feel the proposal to give each prospect a list of references (other IBOs names with their contact information) is an infringement on the privacy of each member. We have Open Meetings each week. All prospective IBOs are invited and encouraged to attend. Anyone wanting to meet "references" can attend and get all the first hand information about individuals and the Quixtar company they could possibly desire. In this era of identify theft giving out personal information on any IBO is not circumspect. The proposal to give each prospect a list of all lawsuits in the past 10 years involving Quixtar and its IBOs (or any other MLM) is unfair. These are time of "litigation-itis". Anyone and everyone is looking to make a free buck through lawsuits. I would imagine the many of you have been the subject of false lawsuits. Making all lawsuits (including those where the accusations were proved fradulant) available is ludicrous. Anyone can check the results of these legal claims through the Better Business Bureau just as I did. Anyone wanting to know more about the Quixtar business with the TEAMBUILDERS organization please contact me at the above address and I will be glad to give you more information!! Marci
