Federal Trade Commission Ladies/Gentlemen: Thank you for the opportunity to send comments regarding the proposed implementing of certain rules and regulations. First, let me offer appreciation for your efforts to protect the legitimate business people. The company with which I am associated prides itself with having high integrity, and accepts nothing less from those of us who are fortunate enough to partner with them. Our goals are always to be honest, caring and diligent while working hard to help others. We are fortunate to have a wonderful product and a wonderful company. Honest people will be hindered by the requirement for earnings claims, whereby fraudulent business owners would not be honest anyway. The 7-day waiting period detracts from our efforts to get momentum from the beginning when dealing with new people. This could be seen as questionable legitimacy. Providing ten existing nearby sales people would be an impractical expectation; many of our contacts are in other locations; such information would cause concern regarding ID theft. I have been a part of the exciting network marketing field for about a year and a half, after being retired for a number of years. This opportunity has offered my husband and me a wonderful outlet, financially as well as socially. We are proud to represent our company; members are recognized as worthy of their trust and are treated with respect and dignity while being rewarded for honest and hard work. When making your determination as to the proposed rules, we would appreciate your consideration as to the negative effects that would be felt by legitimate, honest businesses. Again, thank you for your efforts to offer protection, and thank you for your time. Mildred Erlacher
